I have a beef in fact a strong beef with someone now, and with the way I am looking at it, I am going to expose it. I am having a strong beef with Ayo Adesanya. She used to be a sister to me, and I have tried not to say this whenever I grant any press interview, but I think it is high time I let people know about it. But it seems she is not ready to bring herself down to say sorry.
The whole scenario started when I shot this new film movie Faramade. I called her up, and told her that she was going to take a lead role in my movie and she accepted. The next thing she did was to forward her account number to me, and I paid the exact money she requested. She came on my set and did only four scenes, but refused to do the most important scene of my job with the excuse that her husband was coming from Abuja. She asked the director to excuse her, claiming that she will return as soon as possible, or come back the following morning to finish the job, only to abscond with my money. Much as people are saying that is how she behaves I have been defending her, saying, she would not behave in such a unprofessional way, more over this is the first time I will be inviting her for a job. But to my greatest surprise, she did not return, and she knew the job I was doing was not just a movie, but a project.
I called her, and even sent text messages to her; she neither picked my call nor responded to my messages. Up till now, I have not set my eyes on her. I even sent one of her cousins to her to tell her that she has really done a bad thing to me.
I don t care what happens if she reads this story. I don t ‘wanna’ care. Everybody knows the truth, I am not lying. You can confirm from other artistes that were at the location. And we are all celebrating Nollywood at 20; with this kind of people, how can we move forward, when our so called senior sisters are behaving in such a way. And when you disrespect them, they will say you are rude. This is not about seniority. This is one thing that English genre artistes will not do. And that is why Tunde Kelani will not call people like that for a job, because they prefer 10, 10 kobo rushing jobs, like idiots. I don t make my money through acting. I am really disappointed in her, but when next I see her, I am really going to embarrass her.
