Few weeks after the Principal of Baptist High School, Ejigbo in Osun State was attacked by Muslim fundamentalists in the town, a teacher in Osogbo Grammar School; Mr. A. Olamoyegun, was yesterday axed on the head by students of Technical College, Osogbo.
Also, students of St. Marks Anglican High School, Testing Ground area in Osogbo, stabbed and macheted themselves at the premises of the school, when a student of school one and that of school four quarreled over a minor matter.
Blood was oozing out uncontrollably from the axed teacher’s head and body before he was rushed to State House Clinic for the first aid treatment before later being transferred to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Osogbo.
The incident saw many teachers, including nonacademic staff of the school running helter skeletal for their lives.
However, some of the students and teachers who were brave, marched students of the technical college strength for strength to resist the violent attack launched on the one of their teachers and in the process wrestled themselves with physical combat, dangerous weapons like broken bottles, cutlasses and clubs.
Seeing that the students of Osogbo Grammar School outsmarted theirs, the technical school students escaped from the school premises before some of them were later apprehended by the police.
The development lasted for hours before the intervention of the state police command, which effected the arrest of some of the perpetrators of the act.
Meanwhile, there was pandemonium at St. Mark’s School, Osogbo when students of School One and those of School Four clashed over a minor issue.
It was gathered that the scuffle between students of the two schools resulted in bloodshed as it turned in to a free-for-all.
The case has been reported to the police while one of the students who was stabbed has been hospitalised and is now receiving treatment.
